I know there was a thread a while ago about this but I can't seem to find it. I wear flip flops most of the time and I was planning on wearing them in the parks but I had one quesetion for all you other flip-floppers. How do you keep them on your feet on some of the rides? This might sound stupid but I was wondering

I wore my rocket dogs for the entire trip. Most of mine are a thin strip of tong. They never fell off my feet, even at Splash Mountain. The traction on the bottom is very helpful in slippery situations. :cool1:

If you keep your feet on the floor of a ride, then you usually will not have ANY problems with wearing flip flops. Rides where you dangle your feet are usually the only problem. (I went on a rollercoaster at Cedar Point where you dangle your feet, they didn't have any shoe compartments so I had to put them behind me, luckily I was wearing a poncho so I stuffed them behind my back inside the poncho and didn't lose them!)

I had no problem with my Teva flip flops last week, except on Soarin'. I rode it the first time with my shoes on, and I was so concerned with squeezing my toes together and flexing my feet so my shoes wouldn't fall off, I didn't enjoy the ride. So, when we rode it after that, I took them off and put them in the underseat basket. It was really fun riding it barefoot; you almost feel as if you could dip your toes in the water a couple of times. The CM's even tell you to take off loose shoes and either leave them on the floor in front of your seat (they will be there when you "land") or in the underseat basket. And believe me, I was not the only one doing it. We rode Soarin' about five times, and I saw lots of bare tootsies hanging around! Other than that, I wasn't worried about my shoes on any rides.

I almost only wear flip flops in disney and I have never had a problem on rides. The only problem I have is walking to fast and the shoe slips out from under my foot...ouch. :) But that's rare....then of course...DH steps on my toes constantly. For some reason he only steps on them at WDW....I wear them all the time, but when we are at WDW, I get stepped on all day. :confused3

Soarin' is the only place you'll have to take them off. Like Karibeth said - it's a really neat sensation with your Toosies dangling......
