Flip flops

I love wearing flip flops (and I'm from the UK) pretty much been in them constantly for the last 2 years! My most comfortable pair I ever had that I wore everyday in the parks last year was a Reef pair with the raised instep to give your arch support (I have very high arches!). They eventually died after my trip as the soles had got too thin and I've never been able to find as comfy a pair since :-(.

I had to buy the turquoise strap ones I linked to, since I didn't have that color yet and it is one of my favorite colors, so I am very happy that I decided to look up the name of the sandals and the link for this thread! I also ordered Reef's other padded flip-flop, the one with padding that looks like ocean waves, which I had not seen before last night. And I found a different brand of sandal that is for wearing in the water, which will be nice for the beach! My wallet is a little lighter, but I am glad for this thread! :mickeyjum

Yes, the turquoise flips were the ones I ordered too. I'll have to keep my eye out for more colors!

My feet would just not be happy in walking/running shoes. They need air! ;)

I wear Rainbows . Being from CA , most people wear flip-flops all the time. I have the ones with extra support. Honestly, due to all the walking, I think our piggies are going to hurt no matter what we wear. I went to WDW in January and my feet hurt wearing my Nikes. LOL! Ahh, the price of fun!

I wear Yellow Box flip flops in the parks. I've even worn cheap $2 flip flops. I live in flip flops unless there's snow on the ground and find them way more comfortable than any other shoe. I've never had a problem with them coming off on any rides at Disney.

I only wear flip flops in the parks. Never had an issue of them coming off, but I do take them off when riding Soarin.

I used to always were flops in the parks- loved them. Unfortunately I had a nasty bout with plantar fasciitis for the last year and am no longer able to wear flops at all..ever. :(

I really missed the ease and comfort of them, the heavier athletics shoes are awful, but at least my foot doesn't hurt!

PF is so individual! You cannot wear your FF anymore. Others get help from certain FFs!

I was going into PF as I finally decided to drop weight which led to being more active which led to finally deciding to drop the big heavy running shoes and go more minimal. That requires strong feet which led to doing tons of yoga which led to stronger and stronger feet and I don't have any PF symptoms at all anymore. It's been quite an interesting journey!

And just goes to show how PF can manifest and be relieved in myriad ways....

I go back and forth between running shoes with good, sweat-wicking, socks (and bodyglide all over my feet!) and my Crocs Athens (no socks but bodyglide all over my feet!). That keeps my feet happy.

It is strange- Mine could be caused from a lifetime of going barefoot every second I could from the time I was a child. Then, a few years ago we bought a house that had all hardwood/tile floors. There's nothing else that changed but that and the docs seem to think it's a good possibility.

My favorite flip flops to wear in the parks are the Nike Comfort sandals (for when rain in not in the forecast) and the Nike Celso Girl sandal (for when rain is in the forecast).

I don't know if they discontinue colors year to year or what, but the others I have are black straps, pink-and-white stripe straps, lavender straps, and pink straps. I got my new ones today (gotta love being a Zappos VIP! Free overnight shipping!) and the turquoise ones are gorgeous!! I am happy! The other ones I ordered are good, too.

After wearing my new ones around yesterday (also a Zappos VIP...love them!), I'll definitely be ordering more. Thanks for the recommendation!

Not wearing flip flops was one of the tips I gave my brother and his new wife before their trip last month. As with all my advice, they paid no attention!

They have both since said to my mum "we can't do flip flops next time! No arch support!"

Not a lady but I love my Fit Flops.

+1 from another guy. I've always preached good athletic shoes for Disney trips, but I brought along my Crocs flip flops on our last trip. With the heat in July and the potential, if not desire, to get wet, I ended up wearing my flip flops the majority of the trip with no issues at all. I agree that I wouldn't wear the cheap ones, but a decent set with padding and some support worked well for me.

I have heard so many great things about the Sanuk yoga mat flip flops but how are they in the rain/by the pool?

I wear them every time we go there. Sometimes I switch off with sneakers, though. I've never lost one on a ride.

(Love my Sanuks!)

I wear the Teva mush II. I bought a pair of silver havinanas at DTD past month and they busted a week later. They were cute but not well made- or maybe I was unlucky and got a defective pair. I have relatively flat feet and have never had problems with the Tevas and normally wear them for the whole trip. I only move to my Nike's if it rains.
