I'm trying to find the perfect ladies' flip flop for WDW in Sept/Oct. I've narrowed it down to:
1) Keen (one of the flip flop styles)
2) Nike Celso
3) Teva Mush

I'm concerned that some reviews I've read for all these say they can be "slippery when wet"...something I definitely don't want as I may be splashing w/ my 2 yo, and plan to keep going thru rain showers. Please give me your vote and tell me how these did walking all day and getting wet. Anybody know where I could go try on all 3 kinds at once?

If you have Keen flip flops, please let me know which style you have and where you found the best deal!

THANKS!

I've never worn Keen or Nike Celso, but I love, love, love Teva Mush. They're very comfy! I own 3 pair, and will be heading to Dick's at some point this week to buy pair #4, since one pair is wearing out. My vote is for the Tevas. :)

I have two pair of Celsos. I plan on getting at least one more pair before summer's end. I've tried on the Tevas and didn't think they were nearly as comfy. I guess it's all in what YOU like. The thong part of the Celso is neoprene which means it bends and moves with the top of your foot, so there's no rubbing. I love the feel of these and have never had a blister. I wouldn't wear anything else at WDW. I also like that, for their extreme comfort, I can get a pair for $20.:goodvibes

I love all my pairs of Tevas. They are great when they get wet. No slipping and sliding for me anymore since I went with Tevas.

I love love LOVE my Teva Mush. They are wonderful in terms of support, comfort, stability AND value. Love them. I'd pick Teva Mush over Keen any day...high price does not equal better!! That being said, I have a pair of Keen Bali, and they are pretty comfy over all. Good quality, your toes are protected and the support is good. If I were going to Hawaii and anywhere near coral and/or other toe busters I'd go with Keen, but for Disneyworld Trekking, Teva Mush wins!!!

the only minus I'd give for them is that when it's super wet...like Florida rain storm wet where you are walking through puddles AND getting rained on, Teva Mush flips tend to soak up water. After a while you are making that squelchy noise as you walk! It can take a day or so for them to dry out. But that is only if you are wearing them in a heavy, standing water, long lasting rain situation. (I wore mine during "hurricane Ernesto" last August. Lots of standing water and pretty constant rain all day)

Plus so many cutie colors to choose from!!! I have six pairs of Teva Mush, a color for every outfit. They're awesome!!!!:thumbsup2

I was looking to get a pair of flip flops that had more support than cheepies and also were comfy. I tried on many many flip flops and either the thing between the toe put too much pressure on or the straps gave me issues or something. I heard about the Teva Mushes and I tried them on and they do not bother between my toes, they are mushy comfy on the bottom, they are a little wide so you get some protection and are easy to find in stores.

I have Nike Celso flops and they are sooo comfy and they stay on my feet really well. They do get a little slippery when wet, but seem to dry fast and don't soak up any water except for the stretchy thong part. I have 2 pair of these and plan on wearing them at disney, but I'm also taking my adidas tennis shoes just in case!

I never go to WDW without at least one pair of Teva Mush and usually I carry several pairs. They have always been my go to shoe for WDW. However, for my trip this past May I found and decided to try a pair of Montrail Molokini flip flops. They have now replaced my beloved Teva Mush as my all time favorite shoe for WDW. They have more support and just feel soooo good. For my May trip I wore my Crocs and my Haviana flip flops once and then switched out between the Teva Mush and the Montrail Molokinis. I'm afraid the Montrails were the most comfortable. In fact, I just recently bought my second pair of Montrails to wear for my Sept WDW trip.

I too love the Teva Mush. They are so comfy, and last! No problem with slipping as long as they arent too worn out. However I prefer my Crocs, except in the hottest weather. I have some from Reebok, the Corfu, that are really good too, they are thinner than the Tevas-not as much support for all day walking. I wear them 24/7 during the summer as they are a lighter shoe. Kind of hard to find so I get them on ebay- I have at least 10 + pairs in every color.

I have had several pair of Mush flops and also have a pair of Celso right now that are my "summer slippers". Both of these would be fine in the rain. I've worn them both wet and haven't had any problems with slipping. The Celso straps are a little smaller so they would probably dry out quicker, but IMHO nothing beats the Mush for the cushy factor. However, I do find that I have to replace them every few months because as I wear them the insole gets too compressed from the pressure of my foot and they are no longer super comfy and are a little unsafe (I can trip easier because they're just too loose). For $20, I'm okay with the replacement schedule. ;) I took my Mush on our last trip to WDW but I saved them around the hotel/pool--I only do parks in athletic shoes. They're fantastic to give my tootsies a rest.

Sorry, but I've never tried Keen flops, although I have tried on Keen sandals and wasn't impressed. Not enough cushioning.

thanks everyone for the input! I think I'll get the Teva mush for me and my DH too. Can't wait to try them out!!!

I have worn all three Keen, Nike celso and Teva Mush. I didn't find the Keen to be that comfy at all. The Nike is comfy but my feet got very, very tired when I wore them out walking on concrete - not enough support for me.

I love, love, love the Teva Mush. Which is kind of strange as I have always hated Tevas. The straps on all of the other Tevas hurt my feet. I bought a pair of Teva Mush when Delta lost my luggage last year - I needed something cheap that I could wear to the parks and the pool. Wow am I glad I tried these. I think I have 5 pair now.

I just went sandal shopping yesterday and tried on the Nike Celso (there is a sandal sale at Kohl's right now!) and they were way too thin soled for my liking. They just didn't seem like they would hold up for a 10 hour day of walking! I did like the comfortable top part though. Stretchy, and very comfortable.
I ended up getting another pair of Speedo thongs which I had before, but have just abused this summer, and a pair of Adidas thongs, which had great heel support.
