Prices seem to be all over the shot for summer holidays, one minute there seems to be a good deal next they're extortionate!!
Can anyone suggest a good indirect route and airline?

At the minute he's probably got flowers coming out of his ears with Mother's Day!!

This year there were some good prices if you flew into Tampa - so that might be worth looking at.

Depends on which airline you pick for the indirect routes - we have been via Philly and I didn't think it was too bad. My DH likes to fly direct though.
