Hello! I have to attend a conference for work in Palm Springs (mid-October.) There are no direct flights from Newark or JFK to Palm Springs. I have found American and United (we use United frequently as Newark is a hub) with connections - American is JFK to Dallas or Chicago, United is through Denver or Chicago. (Would like to avoid JFK and Chicago at all costs, so focusing on United). Denver connecting time is about an hour or so. Is that enough time? Alternatively, do we fly directly to SFO (we have family there and have done this flight many times) and then the short flight to PSP? Any thoughts/experiences/war stories appreciated...TIA!

Did you check any of the other So Cal airports? ONT is a little over an hour drive to PSP, SNA about 1:45, LGB about 2 hours. The drive is not bad from any of those and will give you a whole lot more options. Denver airport is huge. An hour to connect seems tight.

Thanks!! We have flown directly to SNA from Newark so that's a great suggestion. Glad to hear that the drive is relatively easy, so I'll look into a rental car.

I'm flying into ONT for my late October trip to Palm Springs. It is the cheapest option by far, and also non-stop for me from ATL.
