 Hi all,
Just been searching for flights from Aberdeen to Orlando (Dec 05) using Opodo and all the best deals that i found are via Amsterdam with KLM/MARTINAIR. :) .Just wondered if any fellow dissers :disrocks: have done this.
Any comments welcome, good or bad please :worship: .

Thanx Audrey. :grouphug:

Hi eyoreaud sorry no info for you we normally fly direct from aberdeen or glasgow we got a good deal from my travel you might want to check out there web site good luck :cool1:

I have never done this but have (tall) friends who have done this.

They weren't impressed by Martinair. It sounded pretty much like a charter flight, cramped and had to pay for drinks. Not sure of the luggage allowance.

That was a few years back so things may have changed.

we have flown klm an had no problems

We flew out from Gatwick to Tampa via Amsterdam with KLM/Northwest code share and they were fine. Schipol (SP ?)is a lovely airport and very clearly signposted. The journey back was a nightmare though with overbooking and technical delays, and it took us 3 days to get home! In that instance KLM were very unhelpful. However this was at a peak Xmas / New Year period when all airlines seemed to be shambolic.

Went to Orlando via Detroit/Amsterdam/Norwich one year I really enjoyed it, the wife didn't, as they "lost" the bags on the return trip. They were actually on the next flight to Norwich and then they delivered them to our home address! Saved me lugging them to the car!

We arranged to meet a mate of mine who had been via Gatwick and we spent the same time travelling as we had a 20 min check-in at Norwich, and he had three hours plus the drive to Gatwick.

If the price was good I would really try to talk the wife round. The KLM flight to the states was fine, all the connections worked out well, in all "good".
