Hi! We have never done this show before and were thinking of trying it this November based on all the good reviews I have seen. But then I saw on the Disunplugged someone rated it as one of the worst attractions at WDW! I was really surprised.

Just some background on our group- me, DH, DS 5, DD 7 and my parents. It will be my parents first time to AK. We only have one day in AK and its pretty jam packed. Doing rope drop and trying to be out by 3 pm. Not staying for the new nighttime stuff. Nobody in the group has a particular interest in birds. At WDW we tend to go more for the "fun" rather than the "educational" stuff, but we definitely aren't opposed to it.

TIA!

It's all about the birds. DD at about 10 enjoyed it well enough, but it is more education oriented, as is lots of AK. The birds to some fun tricks. If your kids kinda like magic, then they might like the tricks the birds do. The show will take up some time so if you are dead set on leaving at 3 it might be a time taker.

Do it. It's a fun show. We stopped in on our AK day killing time between our FP+ at Everest. My kids (8 and 5 at the time) got a real kick out of it and it got us off our feet for a minute.

We skipped it for years. Two trips ago we saw it and looooved it.

YAY!
Yes, it's about the birds. But, it's definitely entertaining and funny. It's got the bird and conservation education message, but mostly it is just a really good show. It's a good place to rest your feet.

I hate birds. Especially because I usually get harassed by them while trying to eat my Flame Tree onion rings.

For me, if I'm walking by and it's convenient, it's not a bad place to sit for a bit. But I don't go out of my way to see it. It's definitely, "meh" for me.

We skipped it several times, but once we saw it, it has become a must do. one of those attractions that your perception of what it might be is not actually what it is. Given the option to see only one, I would see it before Nemo.

we anyways enjoy it, but can see not attending if it could not be fit into our short day schedule

Funny that you say you hate birds, as one of the characters in the show hates birds. Before I saw the show, it never occurred to me that anyone could hate birds!

Eating outside at Art of Animation, I had a potato chip in my fingers two inches from mouth and a bird swooped by and grabbed it from me. I was so startled!

Yay. I do wish that they would change up the "Tour Guide" angle. You can't keep doing the same routine for a decade. But still, the show is worth going to. And if you haven't yet seen it, then the thing that I am complaining about as being stale and repetitive won't apply to you.

I say this to everyone who asks.... I've never seen it, ridden it, or experienced it so is it worth it to do?? Everyone needs to experience an attraction for themselves. Evidence in the responses above, not everyone likes what everyone else likes. The only exception to this rule is if one can get motion sickness on an attraction, then yes, ask for recommendations.

On that note, I vote YEAY to go see the show ;)

I don't usually like animal shows or shows really. Not a huge bird fan either. We usually just do the rides at AK. However, except for last trip when it was under refurb, we do FOW every trip. DH, DS, and I love it. It's pretty funny, and the birds are magnificent. Try it. You'll like it:)
