flights in Nov.

Might be taking a short weekend budget trip in early Nov. We plan on flying our on a fri and back on a mon. night. Flight prices right now out of everywhere close by are ridiculous. Do you think the prices will drop? Prices are low for a wed or tues, but unfortunately my friend can't get off work then. What do I do???
