Flights - How to Find Good Deals? NW OH

Probably a dumb question for all of you who fly often. But where do you go to find good rates? My options for airports are:

Cincinnati
Detroit
Toledo
Dayton

We are not going to WDW until August of next year, but I want to start looking now to get a feel on where to look and how to find good deals.

How far in advance do you purchase for the best deal? I have DING, but that is all I know of. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
