Hi everyone.

I'm traveling with my 2 daughters from the US to Europe in June. Of course we're going to Disney Paris. It has been a dream for my girls to go there.
Now I need help. After Paris, we're going to Prague to meet the rest of our group. We need to meet in the morning at the airport, because they're traveling overnight from Miami, and most of the flights arrive in the morning. We bought the Magical Shuttle to leave our hotel in Disney back to the airport.

What I need help with is flights.

What airlines do you recommend? I'll rather have a non-stop flight, just because of the layover.

I saw about an airline carrier name Smartwings that has non stop flights from Paris to Prague.

Any other recommendations?

Appreciate all your help

Using Google flights, it looks like Smartwings or Air France fly non-stop from CDG (can you go out of ORLY or are you meeting your friends in CDG? If ORLY is possible, then possibly Transavia). Smartwings is considered a “low cost carrier”, with all of the usual pluses and minuses. I have not flown with them, but their reviews mention a lot of nickel and diming, old planes, delays etc. However, it might still be the right answer for your travel group!

We recently flew AF from BER-CDG and then CDG-LHR on the Disney portion of our trip. Everything was fine with AF, but at CDG, they did weigh each of our roll aboards, together with our personal item (backpack etc), and we were over the weight limit (26.2 lbs all together). I had been warned about this happening a lot with AF, so I had purchased tickets that included a free checked bag each. We had to go back and check 2 of our roll aboards (thankfully we got there early and had time for this step; and it didn’t cost us additional since it was included with our ticket already). In the US, I have never had my carry on bags/backpack weighed, but this is the norm for AF (and is clearly stated when you buy the ticket; so not a surprise, just a difference from the US). Just make sure you weigh both bags together, because together they must way under the limit.

One thing that really struck me about many of the European airlines was their very restrictive flight change policies. In the US, we are spoiled by being able to cancel/change a flight for a flight credit, and then buy another ticket. In Europe, almost all flights will only refund the tax if you have to cancel the flight; the fare is just lost. If you buy a fully refundable ticket, the price is usually really high. Just a difference to be aware of.

Our daughter was just abroad in Berlin for 4 months and flew just about every European carrier from Ryan Air to Wizz Air, Iberia, AF, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, British Airways and many others. She honestly had no issues, even with the low cost carriers, so you just never know!

Have a magical trip!!
