I just looked at West Jet website AND AirCanada's, and boy are prices and schedules horrible!!!
When might the best schedules and pricing come out for buying airfare?? I need departure flights on Oct 30 so I am in Orlando the night before our cruise. Then we need return flights on Nov 14, but there' s no way in heck I am paying $2,000 for 2 flights!!! CRAZY!!!! and I really would like to avoid AC Rouge if at all possible, so that pretty much leaves me with West Jet! I hope some better pricing and schedules are released by the summer!

I see there's a United flight for your dates for $550 per person taxes included. It's not direct though. You connect through Houston

Yup, and back in January they were $492 per person. Thats when we bought for Nov 8-15. Keep watching, you never know what they'll do.

That looks like a great flight with United. You can avoid any storms out east. Nice flight times too.

Flights with United would be in American Dollars though, wouldn't they?? Adding quite a bit to the total with the horrible exchange rate!

No, they aren't. I have booked United at their website for every flight until very recently when they decided to cease flying to the US from Regina. Their prices were always posted in CDN dollars and consistently leass than Air Canada or WestJet.

Yup as long as you have your country set to Canada or are logged into your account on their site. Too bad they pulled out of SK, probably around the time they dropped the Edmonton-New York route for us in AB. I must admit to wondering how the decline in the oil biz is going to affect our flight choices from Edmonton through Houston on United in the long term.

As I mentioned in a previous post we got flights for $492 CAN for our November trip. While checking our reservation I followed a link to upgrade to first class and was offered the upgrade for $300 per person. We usually upgrade to extra legroom seats anyway and have a checked bag each as well. Doing the math made it easy to go for it for this trip. It's been a loooonnnnnngggg time (1985-ish?) since I got an upgrade to first class, so it'll be interesting to see if we're going to get much bang for our bucks.
