Fab news about the secret trip - we're just back from out secret Christmas trip. It was fantastic!

We got our children to read the departure board in St Pancras to try and figure out where we were going. So much fun, and so much crazy excitedness in the departure lounge!!!!

That was a great price!! So much so I booked ours :-) Did you see the new baggage pricing system? Ours came to ¬530 2+2 plus ¬100 for 1x20kg and 1x25kg cases. Still not bad. Think it was around what Mays flights cost us. The price increase for luggage wasn't in my plans!!

I'm wracking my brains for reveal ideas at the minute. Have great autograph books gotten so that's a start!

Big year is right but she'll sail through her JC i bet. I see she did great with her music exams lately too. X

Can I ask a quick (and probably a silly) question? We are flying out of Dublin with aer lingus in march for the first time - usually we fly out of Belfast with easyjet. Do I have to put in our passport numbers online the way we did with easyjet? Is online check in compulsory? Also, its been about 15 years since I was in Dublin airport, is it easy to get around?

Sorry OP for hijacking your thread!!:goodvibes

Congratulations!

Very tempted myself with the 2 nights-2 days free super early saver offer :thumbsup2

No not with Aer Lingus. Just show up with your boarding cards (or not! no fee for desk check in at the minute anyway) and they will scan your passports at luggage drop / check in desks. Terminal 2 is so handy for going through and lovely, new and shiny :goodvibes:thumbsup2 Not long until you're off!!

The DAA website has maps of both terminals on it. Bag drop/check in @ level 1 and then up to security for departures. You walk through the Loop shopping/duty free area to your gate which is normally in the 400s, we've had 422, 412 and 418 I think. Theres some small coffee and newstand kiosks dotted between the gates.

Hi the online checkin is very handy... You can checkin online upto 30 days in advance...print boarding pass and go into much shorter q to drop your bags at drop and tag. There are machines like fastpass lol that allow you checkin at airport then join the shorter tag and drop line for bags.....or join longer q for checkin at desk!

Dublin airport is easy ti navigate....nice restaurants and shops too.

The security q can be long....but it's the same at most airports now!

Enjoy....have to say I like flying with aer lingus!

Ladies I'm assuming you both fly from dublin?! Im ready thinking of booking for next Christmas season and flight are usually the biggest expense for us. Any tips of finding the cheapest aer lingus flights? Hubs will not fly Ryanair!

I fly out from Dublin normally and prefer to fly into Paris rather than Beauvais when going to Disneyland Paris. I always try to book flights as soon as they go on sale....330 days before your trip as in my experience the flight prices are the best you get....even with later sales I have found the price up on the release flight.....I booked last week for Christmas season next year and was delighted with price 40 euro going out and 60 coming home....they have gone up already and I can't imagine them going lower....the cheapest I have ever got Dublin to CDG was 39 euro and that was a few years ago. Good luck....hope you get a good price!

Have to 2nd Jo's tips. You can book a few days in advance of 330 if you originally enter in dates which are within 330. Baggage prices are changing for AL too so bare that in mind too. I also just booked for the last week of November 2014. Air France were coming in about the same price too via skyscanner
