flights at xmas

Is this in the Xmas holidays or earlier? There are some really good prices if you are happy to fly out on Xmas Day itself :)

I'd also be interested what deals people have found as we're planning to go on the 22nd Dec -5th January 07. Has anyone found any cheapish package deals as may have to go for this option if flights are too expensive.

hiya we got a good deal thru kuoni flying out 16th dec and coming back the 2nd jan staying in movie resort all in £2500 for 2 adults and 2 children insurance and free transfers

Our flights were £1,800 flying on 14th Dec for DS, DD & I and 21st December for DH and all back on 3rd January. If we all flew via JFK we could have gone for £1,600. If you are planning to go and want to book flights only just be prepared to book on the morning the return flights become available. We booked ours on 6th Feb and already the flights we are going on have increased in price

Just edited this post as I posted my €€ prices as ££ we actually paid £1,200 and could have got it as low as £1,050 :thumbsup2

Hi Miffy yes we want to fly on xmas day, got any examples?

This thread got me thinking that Xmas might not be so expensive so I started looking.

I found good prices (£1522 for 3 adults + 1 child) from Edinburgh on Christmas day on Airline-network flying with Delta from Edinburgh to either MCO or Tampa (I didn't know that Delta were starting a regular service to Atlanta from Edinburgh) and good prices with US airlines from London to Tampa. Also, I dont think Globespan have released their prices for December yet so they might be reasonably priced.

Now to convince DH that it's worth going for 10 days over Christmas :woohoo:

Cheers for the Delta tip...I'm getting a reasonable price going on Xmas day...ideally I'd like to go 23 Dec though but we will see!

I'm flying with Flyglobespan in the summer - do you know or think that their schedule will include Orlando in the winter?? :confused3

We flew out on the 15th December last year and our Virgin flights were £1600 for 4 adults. If we had gone a few days later they would have been nearly £400 more each!

Delta are doing expansions into Europe. Choice is a great thing.
