Southwest just opened their schedule through May 10 - OKC isn't showing yet, but they only fly into Long Island/Islip from here.

Is that too inconvenient to make any cost savings worthwhile? Waiting for rates to come up, but I won't bother if that airport is too far away to be practical.

Taking my two dd's for their first trip to NYC!

That airport is around one hour away form NYC with no traffic :rotfl2:
If you are renting a car then it may be worth while if not.........Taxi fees will most likely exceed the savings.
I do know there is a bus service from Kennedy and laguardia airports to NYC but I do not knwo how much. Taxi's are around 75 from those airports and they are 15-20 minutes outside of NY with no traffic :lmao: (and the reason the price is 75)
Good luck

It's not a convenient airport if your destination is Manhattan. It's about an hour away from NYC and if there is rain or an accident, the trip will be even longer. You'd then have to rent a car to get to the city since a cab would cost you over $100.

Islip is fine if you are renting a car anyway. But if you are like most visitors and not getting a car, the extra cost of getting into the city will eat up any savings you might get.

Thanks everyone - we won't be getting a car. An hour away is too far! I just wasn't familiar with the airports - I'll cross that one off my list.
