Flight Simulator X - standard vs. deluxe

DS11 wants Flight Simulartor X for Christmas. Can anyone tell me the difference? Is the deluxe worth an extra $20?

biggest difference? Just a whole lot more airports to fly into. I read a review. I don't play it. They said, bottom line is that the deluxe is really just for the hard core players.
