Flight Seating Question,Is This Right???

Hi hope you dont mind me asking this question.
We have booked our holiday through Ocean Florida,and are flying with thomas cook(tcx11k) on 25th april.
We decided we wanted to pre-book our seats,Ocean Florida have told us it will cost £25 each with no reduced rate for kids.
This is to much as there are 6 of us.
So i tried to book direct with Thomas Cook but when i tried on there website it said we had to do it with our travel company.
Does this all sound correct to you,and do you think we will still get seated together if we dont book our seats?

Hi sorry for poss speaking out of turn but am new to this, I too was looking at flights and looked at everything and found a great deal and did not know of you would be interested flying from gatwick to orlando (sanford) flying out on 25th April so we will be there same time as you coming home on 10th May usa arriving in england 11th May. I was quoted £1700 direct to orl int but £1100 to sanford through thomson ok have to pay £100 transfer fee (£50 each way) so you can use Disney Transport but for saving £500 I thought well worth it, price inc baggage and meals although not sitting together think that was £60 more, dont know if this is any use to you Kind regards karen

We have flown to Orlando twice and both times we have not paid for seats together. Both times we have had them. The lady in our travel agent said that if you check in as early as possible, either on-line or at the Airport, there should be no problem getting seats together. Obviously that wouldn't work all the time and there would be no guarantees.

There are five of us and have either found that we have been in a row together or directly in front. On one trip there was a family of three that was not seated together and the stewardess did everything she could to move people around so that they could sit together.

Although on both our trips we joked that we hoped our talkative 6 then 8, year old son would be sat at the other end of the plane

Hi Karen, were in the same flights as you. We had a pretty good deal to (after looking hard for another flight that wasn't virgin) how many of you are going for your price?
I think you can pre-book your seating with thomson for 10 quid each.

Hi there is me, my hubby and 2 kids going, and staying at pop century where are you staying, you will recognise me dont worry I have only flown once 10 years ago and have a fear of flying and need medication lol. I am 37 and terrified only flown once so needed direct flights because I am not going up and down more than once lol. Need loads of help never been to disney before and really excited - Dreams Unlimited have been excellent - saved loads on deal as all travel agents in uk were quoting 3200 - 4100 and all inc of 15 nights, 10 day disney passes, and flights, and taxi from sanford to disney pop £2500 doing it myself what a saving.

Hi, not sure if this info will be any use, but flyglobespan's seat selection for October (Glasgow-Sanford) is now available. We paid £25 each way for exit seats, does anyone know if this has much extra legroom?
