flight sales and best time to book

we are going to the World next June 2011, whens the best time to book flights or do we wait for sales and when do they usually happen?

No rules to booking flights, could be cheaper booking a package now, might be best booking flight only 11 months from you travelling when they are released, could be a sale anytime, then there is always possibility of a last minute deal. You have no idea, just set a price you want to pay and when you see a price you are happy with book.
