We leave in 3 weeks (woo-hoo!) for our first stay on-site! We are looking forward to it, an optimistic for a good time. But when I checked in on this forum, I was reminded of the need to prepare myself too.
My 5 yr. old ADHD/SID is a sensory seeker, and a flight risk! He has two speeds -- bouncing/rolling and RUNNING! He also hates holding hands!
My 8 yr. old (Asp/SID) wanders off b/c he has no sense of boundaries... Add my neurotypical 7 yr. old DD, and the kids outnumber my DH and I!!
IDEAS? Should we rent a stroller and lock the boys up? Will it fit a very tall 8 yr. old? Should we bring a tether even though the 5 yr. old will be ticked?
What about areas such as the boneyard playground (PG), HISTK PG, Innovations E&W, and other busy areas... Anyone tried those areas w/ flight risks?
Thanks for the help, I'll continue to search the boards for other "flight risk" threads. thanks!
