I'm going to WDW next August (18th-30th) and for 4 people (2 adults 2 children), it's coming out as ¬2,754 ...¬688pp. That's not direct, it includes 1 stop each way.
Last year when I was checking prices for last August it was ¬2000 total.
Do you think the price will go down, or am I better off buying now?

ETA - I'm flying from Shannon to MCO if that helps any

We're looking at a similar time. It's still early for indirect flights so I'm going to hold my nerve a little while longer as I think around Xmas/New Year can be a good time to look. Friends we are going with will only fly direct & that's looking at about £1000/person at the moment & have had no luck in finding price for them on Thomas Cook:confused3

What do you think the cheapest direct flight would roughly be? I'd love to book direct but the prices scare me! It will probably be indirect for us, but I'm hoping they go down a little. I'm just scared they'll go up instead lol..agh!

Later in the year there is usually a BA sale and a VA sale. I'd hold out until then to see what happens. That's what we did last year and it worked out well for us.

For direct flights? How much were they roughly?
I'm just not 100% if they fly from Shannon, I'll have to check.

I can't speak for Shannon, but we got direct from London to Orlando for £700 per adult with BA for August 2014. Didn't think that was unreasonable, given it is school holidays.

We're in the same position as you, except our children are classed as adults now:rotfl2: Anyway, the best price I've seen so far is US Airways from MAN for £800pp. I too am trying really hard to hold my nerve as we've never been in this position,as in having to go August and potentially not going direct. VA at the moment are £1200 pp:rotfl: Fingers crossed for the best sale ever:surfweb:

Yea that doesn't sound too bad!

My targets are £600pp indirect, £800pp direct although at the moment that is looking like requiring a major sale, but it is early days so will just have to wait & see

I'm hoping for £450 per person indirect from 17th Aug until 6th Sept.

The cheapest I've found so far is £580 ish per person but it returns on the 5th Sept and on the return journey we land at Gatwick and then fly from Heathrow to Manchester which isn't ideal with our return luggage!

We are looking for next August too, 3rd-17th for 4 adults and 1 child, it's proving to be far worse than any other summer! Cheapest we've found is £826pp from LHR-MCO indirect with US Airways. Thomas Cook were the cheapest direct from MAN for £900pp but they've shot up to £1000 now which seems ridiculous!

My parents want to book the US Airways flights but I'm determined to get a better price!

I'm looking for the same time as you and best I've found is £560 per person but flying out 20th so reduced holiday by 3 nights

We've booked for next year going August 14th booking a package holiday with Charter Travel as the direct flights with Virgin from Manchester worked out at £722. It's my first experience of August so at the time I felt this was a decent price for direct flights??

My daughter starts High School next year so I wanted to be back so she has the full weekend to recover but if I could have gone on the 17th August the holiday dropped by £1K!!!

If you haven't already booked accommodation have you priced up a package just incase it works out cheaper than DIY??

We booked flythomascook and paid just under £7,000 to fly direct from MAN to MCO, they are now £8,900 (4A, 4C) for 7-29/30 Aug.

Next Aug seems to have shot up really quick compared to this time last year (I've been checking out prices for over a year now) :confused3 can't understand why

Good luck

Your dates are potentially the best in August to keep the costs down as flights drop around 3rd week of that month, but still will be expensive..

We booked about 1 month ago and got direct flights from Manchester to Orlando for £2272 ( 2 adults 1 Child ), But that has now gone up to £2850

I think price only going one way and it wont be down apart from a sale or a glitch price you may find... Good Luck :surfweb:

Just wondered where you were all looking for flight prices for next year as didnt think they released flights until 11months 1 day before travel?thanks.we will be looking for flights for August 2015-when will those be released?thanks

It depends on the airline.

We didn't shop around as we had a £200 credit note to use up, but we got our flights for the end of August 2014 more than 11 months out... and we'd been checking out prices with them for at least a week. (We're flying with BA)

We've booked 4 reward flights for July/August next year via NYC so flights thankfully are not a problem, however, I'm astonished by lack of villa availability for summer next year. Just managed to book a nice villa on Indian Creek but so many of the villas I enquired on that were showing availability had already gone or had been booked before I'd had a couple of hours to think about them. We've booked a villa at this time of year for the following summer lots of times but never seen them so booked up as next year, if this is any thing to go by I can see the price of flights only going one way. Hope I'm wrong though xxx

Prices have now gone up to 728 euro...aghh think it's time to book!
I've even looked at Manchester - MCO, but that's working out the same, if not a little more.
