Flight prices question

Hi all,
We are going to Florida in April 2015 and taking a Disney cruise from Miami from 8-17 April. As a teacher the earliest we could fly out is 3rd April (which is Good Friday) and we would want to fly back straight from the cruise on the 17th. If we could get out for a few days before we cruise it would be ideal and help our DD4 to overcome some jet lag etc as she struggled with getting straight on the cruise this past Christmas and was falling asleep over dinner!

Obviously flights will not be out for a while. Flydrive through TravelCityDirect flying Virgin Man-Miami (change at LHW) is £2635 (lowest I found was £2560 if I cut down to 12 nts) for 2 adult and 1 child. We would not take the car but I am trying to get a rough idea of prices.

Trying to budget :rotfl2: so my questions are:
When flights are released 11 mths out do flydrive prices tend to go up so this price won't last?
Are Easter prices always likely to stay high and be excluded from any sales so is £853pp actually a reasonable price?
What airlines do people recommend to fly into Miami or Fort Lauderdale?

It sounds high from what I hear other people say they pay but having always had to travel in peak holiday times with no flexibility in flights I have become used to having to pay a premium!

Thank you so much in advance for any advice and words of wisdom.

In my experience fly drive are a lot more expensive than buying flight plus car yourself

In used to find fly drives in peak school holiday times the cheapest if you booked them the second they came out. But no so much this last few years.
