Flight prices out of MSP

Just wondering what the flight prices have been/are out of MSP lately...any good deals?

If you can get your tickets for around $200, you are getting a good/fair price. Prices have been down to around 161.00 all included, but those have been for shorter notice (month out) flights.

Keep an eye on travelocity or one of the other booking engines. NWA will pop up a deal for 1 day and then it is gone. If you can get lucky and find the right flight prices, grab them.

I have found that diligence is needed to find a good fare out of MSP.

One other thing. The St. Paul Winter Carnival has offered a buy 2 get 3rd ticket free code for Sun Country in the button information. We used it in 04 and got awesome prices. Depends on the dates, as always. Things have been fairly typical. Jump on anything under $250. Sometimes you can get something for under $200, but that's usually within a couple weeks and to be honest, those things have been few and far between and almost exclusively on Air Tran.

Best bet, as always, is decide your dates early and watch fares like a hawk and jump on a good one when you see it.

We always seem to have luck with a direct flight on Sun Country between 196-234.00. We will always pay 10-30 dollars more for a direct flight. Sometimes it helps to be flex. on your days(Thurs instead of Sat. always helps).

Earlier this month I posted a note about a $79 roundtrip - MSP-MCO. This deal came from one of the travel alerts I get through email. The dates were pretty restrictive, but if you could fit it in, it was a fabulous deal.

For awhile TransGlobal was $124 RT for many dates in the fall. They use Champion Air for the flight. Have never used them so not sure what they are like but with that price I might try them.
