Flight of Passage without a FP...it can be done!

Just got back from our trip and wanted to offer encouragement to all of you who really want to ride Flight of Passage but were unable to get a FP.

We always stay offsite, so I knew I had very little chance of getting a FOP FP. I was pretty happy to get an early morning FP for the River Journey and just decided not to get my hopes up too high about getting on FOP. I had made up my mind that I would be willing to wait an hour to ride, but no more.

We got to AK an hour before opening time on Friday June 16, and as soon as they let us through the gate, my DS and I RAN to Pandora. They held us at the bridge until about 7:40, but we were right at the front of the crowd. At about 7:40 or 7:45, a line of CMs walked us to FOP. I think we were on the first ride of the day! By 8:05, we were exiting.

So don't give up hope, just arrive EARLY and be prepared to hustle

We did it without a FP two weeks ago. We do not like getting up super early on vacation though, so we decided to wait until about 10:15 pm to get in line. We waited about an hour and 20 min, which I did not think was bad at all. It's an awesome ride!

We did it opening weekend. We had a FP for it for later in the day. AK opened that day at 8am. We got there about 7am and the gates were already open. So we headed for Pandora to ride the river ride. About 7:30 they opened up the entrance to that area and we basically walked on that ride. We got off and said what the heck and got in line for FOP. It was lined out way past the queue entrance but it was really about a 40 minute wait. When we got off it was already lined up and back from discovery island and was a 3+ hour wait. It can be done, just have to get there early. We were lucky and it opened before scheduled park opening and I dont think as many people were there yet.
