Flight of passage fast pass question

I apologize if this was covered elsewhere. Just to mix things up my next trip down is to universal for a few days. My original thought was to go to an MK christmas party and then do rest at US/IOA. But then i decided to check out Pandora instead of the party which i have done before.

So the question. I am staying up US/IOA. that means i am looking at 30 days to get a FP for FOP. Is it likely i will get a FOP pass 30 days out or should i pack up hotels and stay on property for 1 night to get the 60 days window.

You might or might not be able to get one. Don't count on it, though.

Unlikely you'll get a FoP FP at 30 days

Not likely. If you want a FOP FP+ I would recommend staying onsite to get the 60 day window.

From the FP FAQ:

- Attractions listed here are the most difficult to get. Onsite guests can expect limited availability even at 60 days in advance, while offsite guests are unlikely to get much availability (if at all) at 30 days. Acquiring these attractions less than 7 days in advance may require frequent monitoring of FP availability via the MDX app or website. Same-day FPs are most unlikely, but possible with constant monitoring via MDX.
