Flight MYT045 from Glasgow on a Thursday

I have had some trouble finding out any information about this flight since booking (I have posted on the ATD forum if your interested in all the gory details!). I was told by My Travel that the actual aircraft are not allocated until 7 days before the flight.

It is within 7 days of my flight so I rang My Travel to get some flight details.

- They use a 767 on this route.
- The seats in the economy cabin are in a 2-4-2 configuration with a 29" seat pitch.
- The seats in Premier Gold are a 2-2-2 configuration (I think the seat pitch is 33"?).
- There are no seat back entertainment systems/TVs on ANY seats on this flight.
- Premier Gold is £220 extra per person (but no availability for this flight – Thursday 24 May).
- Seats with Extra Leg room (beside emergency doors) are £70 per person.


I am pretty disappointed about the 29" seat pitch. I thought that all the airlines were doing a minimum 30" seat pitch on long haul.
It's amazing but that extra inch can make quite a bit of difference! (especially if you suffer from sciatica!)
I begrudge paying any extra for a seat beside the emergency exits and even if I could have a Premier Gold seat I don't think I would pay £220 extra without any seat back TVs.

So anyone travelling on (or considering booking) this flight now knows what to expect!

We're flying this flight on 5th July. As long as the 4 of us are together. But my dw noticed that they are selling the flights as flying out at 10am but she's not been successful in getting a straight answer from Mytravel concerning the time change.

sometimes there is 2 flights that go out on a thursday. one at 10am the other around 12.45

there has been 2 flights def. last year and the year before. we went out on the 12.45 last year and this flight came up from Manchester with people on board picked us up then on to Sanford.

When she recently searched the airtours website the flights for a Thursday were 10am but all the other airports were 11am flights out. She then e-mailed airtours who couldn't answer her. The Glasgow airport schedule for the flight is still 9am. So looks like we won't know until the flight tickets are issued. We had hoped 3rd time lucky with airtours but it appears not to be the case already.

think when you book well in advance they arn't sure of the exact departure times as in ours was 11.30 now its 11 am think it was def. 10 am when the flight went last year as my cousin was on it, however we did go out on the later flight coming up from Manchester . which flight did you choose when they gave you the option. if you on line and go into your details it will give you the departure time re your booking

flight no. 043 is going out at 13.55 and
flight no. 045 is gong out at the earlier time according to the BA website, hope this helps

Ali we are on the MYT045 one as my dh said above but as we've got it on all our confirmations that we fly out at 9am yet a few weeks ago I checked the airtours site and it was 10am. Funny after I e-mailed them and they told me they couldn't help me they have removed all trace of it. I think we were interested in the OP letting us know what time his flight is as according to the BAA Glasgow Airport site the schedule for the MYT045 is 9am. Have never had the best of experiences with Airtours in the previous 2 visits and I have no idea why I took the urge to book with them again. But 3rd time lucky and all that. I did check all the other flight times from English Airports and they all leave around 11am. But wonder if it was a mistake the 10am flight time but would be interested to know what time the OP's flight is on Thursday.

if you go into the saford airport website it will give you the times of landing. go in that day i.e. if you go on a thursday go into the website on a thursday. personally I have felt the times on the BA website not very accurate as in a think they put the approx time in way back last year then sometimes they change nearer the time. I know ours is giving a different time but I got ours from going online to MY Travel and putting in our details, I will have a look this week for you as I was also worried about out flight , we need Premair and I had been reading some negative posts so am in panic mode as we need Premair for our son because of his disability. however, to be fair our trip out last year was good with MY Travel and I am trying to keep that in mind. It was the thursday flight , this year we are on the saturday one.

I have my tickets and they say :

The flight is flying at 10am from Glasgow and arriving at Sanford 14.05
return departs Sanford 16.06 and gets back to Glasgow 05.25 the day after.

I have checked on this flight for the last two Thursdays.
10 May 2007 it left about 15 mins late.
17 May 2007 it left about 50 mins late.

I just watch the 'Live Departures' on the Glasgow Airport website on a Thursday.
