We're planning our 5th trip, but this will be the first time flying there, due to time constraints. A few questions about the magic express, luggage, and grocery delivery ...

With the magic express, we don't collect our checked luggage - it just gets put on the bus and delivered to our room later in the day when the room is available, correct? And we don't have to be at the room when it's delivered? So really for our carry-ons, we should only be bringing the things we want to carry around in the park, right?

We'll be arriving shortly before 8am. Do we have to go to the resort to check in or do we go straight to the park? We're staying at CSR, and I kind of assumed we have to go there first to check in. If that's the case, what time could we expect to be walking into one of the parks? I was thinking maybe 10:30am?

We're going to place a Garden Grocer order to be delivered the day we arrive. It looks like they deliver to the resort lobby and then we have to collect it from there. Do the resorts provide a way to transport this all to our room, like a luggage cart? Or will the resort just bring it to our room if we request that? I guess we could empty out a suitcase and pack it all in there to wheel it.

Thanks!!

Be sure to pack your Magic bands in your carry-on.

Magical express will ONLY take you to the resort wher your reservation is booked.

You can check carry-ons at bell services at your resort while you are at the parks if you wish.

Your luggage will be collected and put onto a truck that delivers to all resorts. It will be delivered directly to your room and you don't need to be there to accept it.
I can't answer about Garden Grocer, as it's been a few years since I used them, and at that time they delivered direct to my room and I had to be there to meet them, check the order and sign for it.
ME will take you to your resort where you can check in, drop your carryons with bell services and head to the park. The amount of time from airport to hotel varies, as busses are sent out when they fill up. I have been the last one on a bus before it pulls out, and I have been the first one on a bus and waited up to 30 min for it to fill. Each bus will visit three to four resorts for drop off, no telling of you will be first, last, or in the middle. Budget 3 hours airport to hotel, and hopefully it goes much faster than that. Somfrom landing at 8am, worst case you are entering a park at noon.

The accepted average DME time is 90 minutes checkin to resort. It can be more, it can be less. You can store your carry ons with Bell Services at CSR. DME will only transport you to your resort, not a park.
Garden Grocer will deliver to Bell Services. They have refrigerators to store perishables. You call down once you are in your room and they will deliver it to your room. Be sure to tip the Bell Services person.

Just a comment: I always pack in my carry on anything I need for the first 24 hours plus anything valuable or irreplaceable. My checked bag has always "magically appeared" in a timely manner, but it's good to be prepared.

DME always seems to take me right at 90 minutes from stepping off the plane to walking into my resort.

Someone correct me, but I would think that you could get off the DME at your resort, go straight to bell services to leave your carry ons, and go straight to the bus stop to catch a park bus, no need to deal with the check in desk right then (especially if you've done online check in).
