I apologize if this question is too esoteric, but I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on a good price on direct flights from Washington DC (DCA or IAD) to MCO. I checked Kayak, but they didn't have any information. Right now, I'm seeing about $225 on Jetblue, which would be my preferred airline. Thanks.

Try the app Hopper. Also JetBlue and Southwest. Hopper lets you pick all three DC area airports and gives you a text when the price goes down but also provides historical pricing information.

I've done MCO to DCA a few times over the past couple of years. My tickets have ranged from $170 - $225 RT on either JetBlue or US Airways.

SW from BWI is usually best. I did get $118 RT from DCA on JetBlue in April. They were running a crazy deal. If you keep checking SW and JB, you can usually find flights under $200 RT. Friday's and Sundays aren't usually good, though. That JB deal had most days so maybe you'll get lucky.

JetBlue is still running $118 RT from DCA to MCO. You may have to be a little flexible but lots of options.

Thanks for all of you replies.

Wow, $118 RT is a steal. I didn't know you could fly anywhere that cheap these days. OK, I'm going to hold out for something under $200.

SW is probably out for me because BWI is really far from where I live. I feel like they should just call it BI - the W is somewhat deceiving.

Have you thought about Richmond? We leave in Northern VA and most of the time head to BWI due to the cheaper SW prices, but twice now we have gotten a flight out of Richmond to MCO less than 100 RT. At that price we sucked it up and make the 2 hour drive :)

I agree that calling it BWI is very missleading...

You know, I've never considered Richmond, but I may have to if it's less than $100 RT. I'm not sure if it will be feasible, though, since we're leaving on a Sunday and the traffic on 95 from DC to Richmond is . . . not ideal.
