Flight Delay questions

OP here posting from the plane. We left 5.5 hours late! Stuck sitting in the plane for over 2 hours because a part on the plane broke. Had to deboard, an hour or two to replace the part (some value in the tail), then get back on. De-icers took forever, finally got off the ground thank god. I am totally upstanding of problems, but VERY poor communication on Alaska Airlines part. But that conversation is for another thread on FlyerTalk or something...

Really had nothing to do with the weather (as far as we know), otherwise it would have been just a 30 minute delay instead of 5.5 hours.

Set to arrive at 9:30PM instead of 4:30PM like I had planned, but I can't complain much. We're on our way!!
