Flight Center tickets?

We are looking for 3 day tickets and I just did the conversion to be 133.00 USD. That's a way better deal plus you get the early morning. If all I gotta do is print something off and walk my butt to the ticket office for the real ticket this is the way to go. All that happens is that they take it out of your bank account in CDN dollars and it converts to US. No biggie! Just like traveling up north.

We were only getting 2 days passes through our UPS discount for the same rate. I'm going with this deal!

We've settled that the exchange rate makes things real nice (unless the US dollar crashes tremendously as I mentioned before). The only thing we're wondering is what their rates are for regular hoppers and if we can get them now instead of the kids price promo.

hi there, i posted flight center sent me an email saying the tickets were 192 for may, well, they just emailed me this...so higher...but still less than getting them in the US

Hello Sharon,

Sorry about this but the price has gone up to $226 Canadian
per Adult. If you still want to book this in or would like more
prices just let me know!

Kind Regards,

Darn!

Well, that's still 175 USD, as opposed to around 200 from DLR. Now my question if we can get the regular ticket prices now (since the only options on the website are for the kids price) and if Americans can get them!

Ok, so I was poking around on the flight centre website and read the terms of use. It mentions that the services are available to residents of North America only.

This site is owned by The Flight Shops, Inc. DBA Flight Centre (“we”,”us”) and is provided for residents of North America only.

and has a whole section on exchange rates:

Most of our booking fares are in CDN or US currency and we will state as such. All charges will be processed in either CDN or US dollars onto your credit card regardless the origin of your credit card. Please be aware that translating the booking fare into your home currency will always be approximate until charged on your credit card. Posted currency rates from various publicly sources should be used as a guideline only as rates are rarely verified as accurate and actual rates will vary. When using the information of the travel booking for any financial purpose, please consult a qualified professional to verify the accuracy of the currency rate

So I'm hoping this answers part of your question.

As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, the prices at Flight Centre seem to fluctuate. For our 3-day hoppers: Jan - $170; early Feb - $176; March - $172. You may want to keep an eye on the price of the hopper you want.

I just wanted to post that I, a US resident, purchased park hoppers over the phone and redeemed the voucher at DL with no problem. We did a six day hopper and it after conversion and credit it card fee it saved me $145! :cool1: :yay:

thank you so much! How much was the credit card charge by the way? Are they e-tickets? What number did you call. Again thank you!

We'll purchase PH's for our next trip and upgrade to AP's ~ I don't remember but I think it might show what you paid for your hopper on the ticket itself if so what price did yours show? The US dollar price or Canadian dollar price? Perhaps they know only when they scan the ticket so in that case nevermind. If I paid with a debit card I wonder if there'd be a conversion (probably) & cc fee???

 This is so exciting. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Even if I don't end up saving money it means we can get the 8 day hopper and go the evening we get there and the morning we leave!!!

I have used PH tix purchased from Flight Centre before, and it's very easy to present the voucher and get your pass. I am going again in October, and I just purchased some over the phone the other day (I live in Canada). I bought one adult and one child, 6-day PH tix, for a total of $427 CDN.

I had to phone to get the prices and to purchase because online they only have the rates for the adults play for kids price thing. Anyhow, the girl I was talking to told me that the rates she was quoting me (and that I ended up purchasing at) were based on the rates that they bought them for way back when... when the Canadian dollar was at par. So when they run out of this block of tickets and have to purchase more from Disney, it will be at whatever the current exchange rate will be, and then they will be adjusting the resale rate accordingly. So, unless our dollar goes back to par, the price will rise and probably a lot. She couldn't estimate when that would be (ie. when they would have to buy more). Anyhow, just an FYI, it might be a good idea to buy the tickets asap.

We used FLight center for 3 of our tickets (i bought a seasons pass for discounts) but we got 8 day hoppers for $205ish back in Oct... Cheapest place we could find since the dollar tanked 30days before we left :)

Does anyone know how much their Disney Visa charged them for the currency conversion (assuming you are from the US and paid in Canadian funds)? American Express charges 2.5-3%.

Thanks!

When you go and pick up your tickets are your names printed on them?

Our names were not printed on our tickets. I took my computer print out to the ticket places between the 2 parks and got out tickets with no problems

This is very good to know!! I also wonder when they run out of their current stock of tickets...if they will still beable to get 7 and 8 day hopper passes ...since you can't get them anymore from Disneyland.

I just purchased 8 day hopper tickets....I was going to get 7 day hoppers....but the price for 7 and 8 day was exactly the same!!! I did the purchase on line for tickets in May....I'm always nervous about doing purchases like this on-line...I was actually just going to look at the prices but when I got in there and saw the prices...I just decide to just do it....I hope it's all ok! Has anyone else purchased on-line without actually talking to anyone? I printed out the confirmation as well as I received an e-mail right after....so I'm sure it's all fine!

kjh73, I did purchase my PH tix online from Flight Centre in 2007, and it was no problem whatsoever. I just printed the voucher that was emailed to me, and brought it to the ticket booth at Disneyland and exchanged it for the Disneyland ticket. Nothing to worry about! :thumbsup2

Thanks....this makes me feel better!

I just bought 5 - 8 day passes through flight center. $205 each Canadian which is about $170 US I think. Great deal as you can't get 8 days at the gate anymore.
