Hi! Just need a place to be happy! Our flight from LAX was cancelled for the 7th of January. We’re going to visit relatives on the 29th of December and I decided we needed a little side trip to Disneyland on our way home. Getting the email today that flights cancelled from LAX to Dublin put me in a spin…. But! I have flights back from SFO on the 7th instead and now go to Disneyland the Monday to Thursday. Crisis averted….on the phone for hours as for some reason could not change anything online. So trip back on as planned…..Fingers crossed no other surprises!!!! Thanks for letting me vent. I do not have any Disney fanatics around me……

Which airline? I have flights from Dublin to LAX via JFK booked with Delta for the end of January.

You should check out my pre planning thread, I'm posting all the updates on what we need to do to visit USA and my Disneyland specific planning info :)

Hi, was direct LAX to Dublin. It worked out fine as we can visit people on the Thursday night Friday before flight. I prefer a direct flight with the 3 kids and time of year (I’ve been stuck with snow before….) We’re flying Aer Lingus . Isn’t it sooooo exciting to actually plan a trip!!!!!

Thats interesting, I gave up on the Aer Lingus direct to LAX and just booked Delta. Honestly I'm not confident Aer Lingus will restart the LAX flights before summer, they are not part of the current Aer Lingus return to USA promotional emails for flights up to February.

Yes it is exciting to be finally planning to return to California, but for me it does not seem real yet. I guess maybe once we get to November and I see reports from Europeans in Disney Parks it will start to feel real.

I totally agree! I’m a US citizen so I know I can go as long as flights are going so I’m lucky that way. I had originally planned to “stop” in Orlando on the way home but felt it seemed a bit risky there (not sure if that’ll be the case in January). Anyway, scrapped that for Disneyland (which I love, love, love!) My kids are getting old now (18, 17, and 15) and I know I can’t “force “ them to go to Disneyland much longer or to go anywhere with me much longer! So this is my trip……and they better “appreciate “ it. They probably won’t for 20 years or so…. I literally can’t wait!!!!)
