I've been awake for about 18 hours
I'm waitlisted for a flight out at 12pm, but I don't see how that's going to happen unless a few people cancel...

If you're on Alaska Airlines out of Seattle...I just saw on the news that if your flight was cancelled yesterday, unless you've been able to re-book on a confirmed flight, you won't be able to reschedule until after Christmas because all the flights are full. And they keep cancelling more flights. It's just crazy.

It's absolute chaos!
I'm on United and they told me the same thing, but I just didn't sleep and kept trying and now I'm on the waitlist... but I don't see any chances of that happening

I hopr you're able to get out- my inlaws are supposed to be flying out on Christmas Eve to CA to get here for Christmas- it looks like I'm going to have 2 very hurt and disappointed daughters when grandma and grandpa don't make it

Sucky! But seatac and PDX aren't sending many flights out. I hope you do make it but most likely you'll need to cancel your hotel before it's too late. They say it *might* warm up wednesday but I dont think so. I dont think this is going away until after christmas. Sorry your trip hasn't turned out as you planned but there is no messing with mother nature!

My brother and family are waiting to fly out of PDX on Wed to go to DLR. They are suppose to fly Alaska, but are unsure if they will make it out.

The weather is still crazy here. They are now cancelling Amtrak routes as well. Kind of Crazy. My thoughts are with you, I hope it warms up here enough for you to get out today and us to get out on Friday! Best Thoughts

So sorry to hear you are stuck there! We used to live 10 minutes from SeaTac, and if we still did, I think I would be over there with cookies, blankets and hot chocolate. I feel so bad for all the frustrated folks who have been stuck at the airport for days. I hope you get out ok.
