Hiya,

I haven't been to WDW since 1999 and never without my parents planning everything for me. I have the chance of going in January for 10 days...I'm after some help with flights though.

When is best to book my flights? Should I be booking now? Or trying to get a last minute offer? I'm looking at going on the 4th and coming back on the 14th...dates are pretty much set as I HAVE to be there by Friday 6th and don't want to leave before the 14th (my 30th is on the 13th lol)

Thanks

Johnny

May be worth using www.kayak.co.uk and entering your flight dates - you have the option to be flexible a few days either side. You can then set up a daily alert which will e-mail you flight prices for your dates adn when you see a good price, book it!! Don't forget to also check for proces to/from Tampa which may save you some cash.

Another site I use is this one - a quick search has thrown up one-stop flights with US Airways Heathrow to Tampa via Philadelphia for £382 or Delta from Gatwick to Tampa via Atlanta for £384. For same dates, direct VA flights LGW to MCO coming in at £443.

BA are doing lgw -tpa for your dates at £395 or into MCO for £444.

Sorry, I'm such a newbie at this...does that sound like a decent price? I mean it does to me...but I have no idea lol!

In a word yes!

Anything below £500 I consider great.

I know Jan is not peak seaon but the tax etc on flights is so high now.

Oh yes it is and the drive from Tampa is not too bad if you went for that option as stated above taxes are not good here is the breakdown for the TPA flight

1 Adult £ 114.00
£ 281.90 taxes, fees and surcharges
£ 395.90 total

Thank you all so much. I'm hoping to get booked by Sunday :)

You're welcome but I have a feeling the offers may end tomorrow not 100% on that though.

Just had an e-mail from one of the travel agents and it suggests that both BA and VA "sale" prices need to be booked by 12th July. However, that's not to say these prices will still be available up until then!!
