Our 5/12 direct flight arrives at MCO at 11:20 (half hour later than when we made the reservations). We have the DCL transfers - how much time does it take to get on the bus, etc. and get to the boat? I don't know how all of that works. Getting a little worried about time and wondering if we should change tickets and get in the night before. Obviously this is the choice of most (when I made the reservation the only choices the night before included a stop and huge layover in Chicago - with two little kids - and didn't seem worth it so I went w/ the direct flight on cruise day), but if we can't change our tix without a big change fee will we be OK on time? Thanks so much.

You should be fine.....the ride to the port from the airport is a bit over an hour. I'd say it will take you about 1/2 hour from the time you get off the ship until to get on the buses.

A DCL rep will meet your flight and take care of you. You will make the ship in plenty of time. They don't start boarding until about 12:00 or 12:15 anyway.

hello,
My flight arrives at 9:46, are there buses leaving this early?
I wanted it early just incase of delay, but will I be stuck at the airport for a while?
Thanks!!

We also flew down on the day of departure. We met our DCL rep right away. (the time saver was that we did NOT NEED TO CLAIM OUR LUGGAGE!) We walked with the DCL rep with our carryons, and went down to where the DCL busses were loading.

We waited in line for a little while to board the bus.

The bus ride was about an hour, which seemed to fly by quickly because of the videos showing.

We arrived at the port around 1-ish. It seemed busy at the terminal, it took about 45 minutes to board the ship, and once on board, topsiders was our only option (Parrot Cay's buffet was for earlier boarding guests at the time of our cruise.)

It wasn't a big deal arriving later. We didn't really need to be one of the first travelers on board., and we wern't concerned about jumping in the pools right away either. The first day on the ship was dedicated to organizing our stateroom, hanging up clothes, etc..... then we partyed at night!

Things should go fine for you with your flight time.

happy cruising!

We just returned from the March 23rd cruise. Our flight from Philadelphia arrived in Orlando at 12:15. After reading these boards I was making myself CRAZY about being on board late and being last. HELLO....there are HUNDREDS of other passengers getting on when you are. DO NOT WORRY! We still got Palo and Surial Bath reservations without missing lunch or running anywhere! We leisurely had lunch, went to the room and than made reservations. It worked out fine. DO NOT pay any more money than you have to in order to get there earlier or the day before. It's the best trip ever! You'll have a wonderful time!

I can't thank everyone enough for taking the time to reply. It has put my mind at ease and the issue to a rest.
