how do you grab the link now? I follow the usual method and it brings the sharing box up but everything but Facebook and email is grayed out. Any idea what I'm supposed to be doing now? :confused3

Looks the same on my end, could it just be a glitch. Try closing your browser and everything see if that helps

Thanks. Not made any difference. I thought maybe I was just overlooking something silly, but I will put it down to the being in the process of changes and give it a while to settle in.

I love the new look though :)

I saw the new look as well. If you provide feedback on it, you'll see that many people are complaining that you can't grab the link anymore, and they're working on that. One option is to opt out of the new look, which takes you back to the old look and allows you to grab the link.

Not the quickest or easiest way to do it, but it does work.

Thanks. I will keep the new look as I like it. It's probably just early days or hours and I can see the options are there (albeit grayed out right now) so it is clearly going to be available. :thumbsup2

Underneath a picture in a photostream, there is box with a rounded arrow pointing to the right. Select that link and a small menu is displayed. At the bottom of that menu is the html/bbcode selection screen.

I see the change as well (when looking at a single picture). I can still grab the link to a set, but cannot grab the link to an individual picture.

I get so irritated with sites that feel they have to keep changing things around. Find a good layout......... then LEAVE IT ALONE! I have visions of people who work at these places who have nothing better to do than tweak things and make my life harder than it needs to be! Yahoo (which explains the Flickr issue) is the worst. I'm in a Yahoo online scrapbook group and it will probably have to disband after their last round of site changes. It's just awful.

I can't find it, either. If you click on the blue box that says "Help and Feedback" in the bottom left corner when looking at the individual photo, you can "Opt Out of the New Photo Experience." That will restore the share option to the version that has links and BBCode.

But I want the new look AND I want to be able to share. What is the point of going to all the cost, time and effort of putting together a new layout and then giving people the option to opt out? I would never do that. That implies that you are expecting people not to like it. Just my 2c. I'm a difficult customer, lol. I always know exactly what I want :lmao:

I agree. I am all for change for progression and improvement. It's just that if it was done properly, they wouldn't need to change it every 3-6 months (and Flickr only changed in the late spring/early summer this year).

toomanycars- That's where the grab is in the old layout. Here's what we're talking about for the new layout:

The code has disappeared for now, but hopefully before they switch over to the new layout it will reappear.

Thank you for setting me straight I see what you mean now.
I've included a screen capture showing that I have the same problem.

How did everyone get the new layout? Mine still shows the old one

When I opened Flickr yesterday a pop up note appeared inviting me to try the new look.

Maybe you didn't get one because they figured your images are good enough to post ;)
