Flex Pay ?

Not sure anyone knows the answer to this but here it goes lol

I have power passes on flex pay they are paid 100% but still good until sept anyhow I have an upcoming aug trip (universal is blacked out with the passes) I want to upgrade to preferred so we can do both parks , I was told to cancel the flex pay account and that I still have 30 days to upgrade. Anyone ever have to do this? I was told I could pay the difference between power and preferred to upgrade or I could just do another downpayment for new pref passes. Anyone know if any of this is true. I am just worried I screwed things up by closing the flex pay account

i have no idea but will suggest you email guest services and ask them for what is the acceptable procedure to upgrade the ap.

they will email you back and tell you what or how it can be done.

take that email with you when you go to upgrade....
 
Yeah well I think I messed up because I called Universal and they told me to close the flex pay account now , they emailed me a form to send them back so I did. The person on the phone then mentioned two ways to upgrade either buy online again or I can upgrade within 30 days to preferred passes at the parks. I am just nervous because Ive never had this situation. I just like paying before the trip and having everything set before I arrive lol I just need to make sure the flex account doesn't renew especially if I buy another rest of passes lol
 
i don't know what to tell you.
i read the info on flex plan on the uo website but that is the extent of any knowledge i do know about it.

hopefully by me posting again will keep your thread up at the top of the page.
could be someone will notice it and answer your question that has info on how to guide you.

i wish you the best of luck of you finding out what to do.
 

now that i think about it, there have been some past threads talking about the flex plan and upgrading.
use the search button for the main UO forum and put in flex plan, or something similar to it.
maybe you will find past threads that can help you.

I found the answer by searching, someone else ran into the same situation, and it is a bit tricky but as long as I renew within the 30 days of canceling the flex pay I can upgrade and renew
I feel soooo much better now!

Flex pay is a contract. If you want to change that contract, you have to get out of it. By closing up your account, you are stopping the contract and then you can upgrade. You are doing the right thing if you are wanting to upgrade or make any other changes.
