Has anyone done the flex pay for the Annual passes?
Just wondering..I was going to do it using my Visa Check Card...

That's the pay per month one right?

I have that, it's $15 per month, both parks, with free parking and food and merch. discounts, it also renews automaticallly every year (they do warn you before it renews though)

I think it's awesome

Eek. So if your pass is $15x12 for the first year ($180). They continue to bill you at $15/month when that year is up? If that's the case you are paying $180/year vs renewing at $99 upfront.

You can cancel the contract at the end of your 12 months and then pay the renewal fee of $99. Or you can cancel the contract and just pay off the balance so you can get the renewal rate.

I think many people don't do that because it's easier to pay $15 a month rather than come up with a lump sum.

I got my original Universal AP when they had an offer with the Florida lotto where you pay 1 year and get the second year free, after that I've always renewed it for $99.I however pay my Busch Gardens/Sea World Platinum AP that gets me into every Busch park with their EZ PAY program at $12/month,that's pretty good since it's a total of 8 parks including the waterparks in Tampa and Virginia.Discovery Cove is not included and that's fine but I'm really hoping Aquatica will be included when it opens next year!!

Yep, I barely even notice it comes out and I never have to worry about renewing...I just decide one day to go, thats it...and Im in....I wish Disney had a flex pay option even if it was a bit more

I think I found a new business idea. I will front the money for you to cancel and renew at $99 and you can pay me $15/month. Nice markup. $99 isn't really a lump sum.

is the $99 one the full pass or are there blackout dates?

The $99 renewal is for the full AP, no black-out dates. When I first got it I paid like $165 for the AP with the 2nd year free promotion.I think the regular AP is like close to $200 now.If Universal keeps this $99 renewal rate they have me for life,it's like basically a bit more than a day's pass with free parking and discounts!!

The renewal price for both passes are $99. Example. You purchased your Power Pass and it is about to expire. You renew to keep your Power Pass for $99. Same deal w/ the Preferred Pass. Renew and keep your Preferred Pass for $99

It is cheaper to upgrade the Power Pass to a Preferred Pass at renewal time. You save about $30 on the upgrade vs doing it any other time.

(Note I have not included the Premiere Pass in this formula)
