Fleece help

In the past I have made fleece scarves but cannot find the pattern. It was like strips tied of contrasting colors. Any ideas on a pattern or simple instructions?

Also, is it possible, or even cost effective, to make a fleece snuggie. DDs want snuggies for Christmas and I was hoping to make them.

"how to make a snuggie" there are patterns online.

I was thinking of doing this too, but I think it is cheaper to buy one. Most patterns say 3yrds, and unless there is a great sale it's usually more than $5 a yard, and Snuggies are everywhere for $15 or less.

However, I have been told that they are very thin, and a home made one would be warmer. They could also be more personalized.

I've recently made a bunch of these for gifts but I'm using 4 strips instead of the 2 or 3 strips they recommend (alternating between a strip of patterned fleece and a strip of coordinating solid color fleece)
