Fleece blanket

I like to read in bed on my iPad. When I need to turn the page it is a nuisance to have to get my hand out from under the covers. I use fleece blankets. If i cut a 1 inch hole in the blanket will it unravel or otherwise make the blanket unusable? I think it would be ok, but I’m not sure.

I think it would be fine. My DD used to make fleece blankets for gifts by cutting the edges and tying knots -- they never frayed, to my knowledge.

Yes, I remember that. There used to be a big craft trend for DIY fleece scarves to make:

Make sure the material is similar and it shouldn't fray.

I also used to make these. I don't remember them ever fraying, but the strips I cut would sometimes seem to stretch when trying to tie them. Not sure if this would effect cutting a hole and not pulling on the material around it, just something to keep in mind.

You might also look into a blanket with sleeves. I got one for Christmas that’s like a poncho with sleeves and a hood. It’s very cozy!
