Fleece blanket help! Wash first?

I'm going to be making a no sew fleece blanket. The fleece has been in storage a while and is a bit dusty where it was folded. Can I wash the fleece before I make the blanket? Thanks!

Sure, there shouldn't be a problem washing the material before cutting and essembling it.

Or you could just dust it off/vacuum it
