What's the difference between Flaxseed Oil and Flaxseed? My daughter is vegetarian and I currently give her some Omega 3,6,9 supplements made for children. I'm consider getting some Flaxseed oil instead but I don't know if it's better that I lace her food like yogurt or cereal with actual Flaxseeds or use the oil.
Do you know which is more beneficial or do people tend to use both?

I don't know the answer to your question, but maybe you could also post this on the WISH boards. They may be able to help you.

I just started taking flaxseed oil today. I was never getting my 2 teaspoons of healthy oil that Weight Watchers wants you to have daily. Someone on the WISH boards suggested adding flaxseed oil to my yogurt and oatmeal. Since they pointed me in that direction, maybe they can help answer your question too.

From what I understand, our bodies don't digest flaxseeds. To get any benifit you need to use the oil or the powder. The powder seems to be the easiest to me.
