Someone posted on the CB about apple martinis so I thought I would post some recipes. Remember to drink responsibly. These recipes are not for people under the drinking age. And do not drink and drive.

Here is the recipe for a sour apple Martini:

The Sour Apple Martini Recipe

Ingredients
1 oz vanilla flavored vodka
1 oz sour apple schnapps
1 splash sweet and sour mix

Serving Instructions
Shake with crushed ice. Strain into glass. Serve the sour apple martini in a cocktail glass. Garnish with apple slices.

There are other variations with some apple juice instead of the sweet and sour mix. Some other variations leave out the third ingredient totally.

Beth - I am over 21 and promise not to drive (once I get back from the ABC store :upsidedow ).

Thanks for posting these.

Those sound good, I will definately try the sour apple and sour watermelon recipes. My husband and I have found what we think of as the perfect chocolate martini. We had it at the Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia National Park this past summer. It is similar to the recipe above.

Chocolate Martini

1 1/4 oz vanilla flavored vodka
1/4 oz kahlua
1/4 oz white creme de cocoa
chocolate syrup

Drizzle inside of glass with chocolate syrup, shake the rest of the ingredients with ice and strain into glass.

my DH is a regular martini kind of guy. :crazy2: way too strong for me!!! i like a good cosmopolitan every now and then...but i LOVE chocolate martinis!! i haven't made one at home yet though...may have to give it a try!!

Now this is a subject near and dear to my heart.

We like

Sour Apple Martinies

1 oz vodka
2 oz Pucker Sour Apple
1/2 cap of Roses Lime

Shaken and served with a Granny Smith slice on the rim.

Espresso Martinies

1 oz Vanila or unflavored Vodka
1 oz coffee flavored liquere
2 oz espresso

Shaken

And a house special

Chartinie

2 oz vodka
1 oz Chartreuse

Shaken or on the rocks. This is based on a very strongly flavored european Aperitife that is bright green and tastes of herbs and forest greens. Sounds weird I know but we like it.

Y'all left out a couple of my favorites. All are served in Martini glasses.

Almond Joy
1 oz Amaretto
1 oz Malibu Rum
1 oz Creme de Cacao

Shaken, served with a chocolate swirl on the glass

Berry White
1 oz Stoli Raspberry (or Smirnoff Raspberry Twist)
1 oz Godiva White Chocolate liqueur
1 oz Chambord

Shaken, garnish with a fresh raspberry

Creme Brulee
1 oz Stoli Vanil (or Smirnoff Vanilla Twist)
1 oz Frangelico
1 oz Cream
Splash of Cointreau

Shaken, served with a sugared rim

Berrytini
1 oz Stoli Raspberry
1 oz Absolut Kurant
1 oz Creme de Cassis
Splash of Cranberry Juice

Shaken, I like to serve it with a raspberry in the glass, or a raspberry and strawberry on a cocktail pick. It's pretty!

Lemon Drop (my favorite!)
2 oz Ketel One Citroen (has to be Ketel One!)
Big splash of Lemon juice (from a real lemon, the bottled stuff won't do it)

Shaken, served with a sugared rim. (You have to have the rim..it's the best part!)
