Flashbacks to being a kid.

We are due to check in the end of next week, and just like when we were kids, one of us (not me) is sick with a bad sore throat. I swear when I was a kid one of us got sick just before going on every vacation, quick trip to the Doc to see if antibiotics were required, so here we are as adults and sure enough, somebody is sick. I know it's still a week away, but couldn't it just go smoothly without at least one hurdle? Never a dull moment.

My little sister ALWAYS got sick before we went on vacation. one year she passed out in the shuttle from the car to the airport. We got her revived and she was standing next to me holding my hand and then she was throwing up! The worst of it was there were covers on all the garbage cans and she had to throw up on the ground in front of the whole world!

Poor thing!

I've told both my step kids that it is a RULE that no one is to get sick or hurt before before Disney trips! They take me seriously and pointed out that their dad and I BOTH broke the rules last summer...their dad broke his toe a week before the trip and I got a flu bug three days before we left!

I've told them both though that if I have to wheel them through the parks in wheelchairs with IV's attached or casts on their bodies I will do so! Same goes for me if I'm casted or IV'd...my step daughter has volunteered to do the pushing!

We're a pretty serious Disney family!
