Flash pictures in rides - isnt this a no-no?

And this illustrates another prime example of Guests who do not pay any attention to warnings, whether it be signs for health conditions or flash photography.

Taking flash pictures (especially on potc) is one of my biggest pet peeves. If I am on the ride and someone is using their flash I will tell them, very firmly, that flash photography is prohibited, as the VERY LOUD announcement says, and the bright light from the camera can trigger my migranes.

It's just the Guests thinking that they can do whatever they want and don't pay attention to signs and CMs.

Great Movie Ride prohibits ALL flash photography. It's a safety issue. That ride features cast members running around up and down a fairly steep set of stairs in a dark environment. Add in a few camera flashes, and you now have blind cast members running up and down fairly steep stairs in a dark environment. I think it's easy to see why they don't allow flash pictures

I have only taken ride pictures on 1 ride, when my son got to ride up front IASW with Peter pan. I used museum mode on my camera without the flash or I would have made peter blind since we were sitting right behined them. Other than that we have used our video camera without light to tape rides in fantasy land. My son loves to watch them over and over at home. Those pictures I did take to me are priceless and will provide memories for years to come, did not use a flash, and there was no one in our way that would have been disturbed. Until this thread, I never gave it a lot of thought. However, I do remember being on IASW another time and the group in front of us took a zillion flash pictures. I remember mentioning it to my husband that I guess these people want to make sure they get every doll photographed. It didn't ruin my trip though.
