I almost missed it. I was in the Hub expecting some action up there. Another person called me and told me to get my butt down there lol. It was cute.

It was more than 50 characters and a number of CMs dancing in Town Square after the singing of happy birthday.

I should add that after that, most if not all the characters stayed for at least 15 minutes to meet and greet everyone. It was hot and they had just danced. I'm sure they would have stayed longer if it wasn't taking a toll on them. The president of DLR also stayed out for about an hour to do meet and greets. He seemed like he was having a good time.

Oh and Aurora was looking the best she has in a few visits.

It was really neat and a nice surprise. The CMs looked super excited to be dancing and were having a great time. And there were so many characters out, it was insane. The characters stayed out for about 20 minutes for pictures and autographs until CMs called them to go backstage.

Oh wow, that is so neat! And, only here, will I admit that seeing that video made me teary-eyed. I'm such a sap! Nice to see Mickey and Minnie interacting and Donald and Daisy too!

By the way, whose voice is that (announcer)?? AWESOME voice for Disneyland. I noticed it before for fireworks, opening, etc... Anyone know whose voice it is?

Aw dang...I'm not even a fan of meeting characters, but that did something to me! Especially since in July '05 DH and I didn't even KNOW what Disneyland fans we were going to become starting in September of the same year. We were THERE in September, and I didn't even realize what a big deal Space Mountain being open again at long last was...ugh!


I showed DH, saying "stupid Disneyworld" all the time (b/c if we didn't have this December trip planned we could have gone to Disneyland), and he said "well we'll have to plan a trip for the 60th!" Excellent!

Glad I am not the only doofus with tears in my eyes - I am so excited to be taking my 4 and 6 year old boys on their first visit in September! A little worried that I will confuse the heck out of them with my tendency to cry at Disney stuff. Hope I can hold it together enough to get some pictures of them with Mickey Mouse : )
