Flash help

Hi everyone,

I am shooting with a Nikon D50. I can not get my flash to work and I'm getting really flustered with it. I've read the manual, did what it said. My husband read the manual, did what it said. I have put it on all of the different switches and it just will not flash.

Any advice??

Did you check the Custom Setting 16 Flash Mode (I think it is 16 on a D50) to make sure it is set to TTL not manual?

Also if it is, take a shot with the flash on (it may not go off). Then check the EXIF data to see if the camera "thinks" the flash was fired. If it shows that the fiash fired, you may need to visit a Nikon Repair Center.
