flash card error code

I know this is not a tech question for the boards.. but I asking for any kind of help for this question. While using my digital camera part of my combo VHS-C /digital camera model # PV-780 made by Panasonic the following occured.. after installing a new Flash card and taking like 50- 60 photos , a error code U13 .. FC Error.. was on the LCD monitor and I could not use the photo/ playback feature . I checked out the manual and it said the camcorder may caused an error... So I replaced the flash card took again like 50 photos... and again it occurred. My questions are first... are the photos retreivable? and second why did it happened? I would appreciate any type of feedback before I start the process of bringing it to get fixed.
