What we do is: a couple of my family members like pizzafari, so I go get flame tree for myself and meet them at pizzafari to eat with them in the AC.

GReat tip, but DB with have DNiece all on his own- Mom will be working (boo hoo!) so I think it will be easiest to do one or the other.

That being said, we are Texans, and BBQ ALWAYS sounds good!

I think both are great locations so you can't go wrong with either one, however food wise I would go with Flame Tree.

Flame Tree has no inside seating so no A/C. All the seating is on terraces and under pavilions. It is one of the most beautiful eating areas in any Disney Park.
Pizzafari is almost all inside so has good A/C.
I like the food at both. The Pizza at Pizzafari is fine but not excellent. They ahve a good ceasar salad and a good sandwich or two. Everything I have had at Flame Tree has been good with the Turkey Breast sandwich just being okay.

Flame tree has better food but u sit outside with the anoying birds . Or at least they were there the last time we ate there. Cause this family wouldn't stop feeding them.

I know everyone is different, but on our last two trips (both in August) we wanted to eat at Flame Tree but the idea of barbecue in the AK heat was enough to turn our stomachs. Pizzafari won out solely because of AC, but I thought the food there was perfectly good.

I Flametree! Admittedly, the AC at Pizzafari is nice but I just can't pass up the Flametree...

Flame Tree BBQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Pizzafari pizza is TERRIBLE!!!! But that is me, and my opinion. I don't like ANY of WDW's pizza. Just yucky!!!

We just ate at both this past week. Flametree has been a long time favorite and Pizzafari was a first for us.

Pizzafari: I loved my Italian sandwich. DH enjoyed his pizza. The kids both liked the pizza as well but honestly they are ridiculously small. The apple pie thingy for desert was one of my favorite deserts all week. There is lots of seating and the AC was a huge bonus (the heat index was like 115 that day)
Flametree: We ate dinner on an EMH night. The table area was practically empty (with the exception of the crazy birds.) DH & I had the ribs (we both loved them)...I enjoy the baked beans...the coleslaw is kind of icky... I miss the corn muffin..Kids both had the chicken and they loved it.

Never been to Pizzafari, but we liked Flame Tree. Here's an excerpt from our TR:

We then ate at Flame Tree BBQ. I had the BBQ chicken salad and it was quite tasty. Watch eating here as the ducks will look at you with such pathetic looks, trying to convince you that they are starving on the Disney lot and they NEED your food. They're really good at it too. No, you can't feed them. There are signs. It's like being tempted by the dark side.

DSonIL had the ribs, DH had the BBQ, DD17 & her friend had the chicken and DD19 had a salad. All said their food was very good. We'd eat here again.

I used to consider the Flame Tree as one of the best two or three CS places in all of the world. I have noticed the quality here has slipped. Its still pretty good but I would go with Pizzafari especially of AC is a concerned
