Flame Tree BBQ ?

Has anyone been able to switch out the sides at Flame Tree when you ordered the 1/2 chicken meal?

I have taken my lactose intollerant niece and haven't had problems, but this year I have her sister and she isn't lactose intollerant. Neither of us will eat the beans or salad.

I'd like to know if there are other options for sides as well. Ds12 is so excited about getting ribs 3 or 4 times during our trip, not so excited about the beans!

We ate there in January and my husband who does not like beans was able to choose grapes as an alternate!

I know! That's the problem, I won't have my niece that is lactose intollerant with me this time.

they generally are always willing to offer an alternate!!

last time we ate there (last May) they would NOT switch any sides...if you wanted something different you had to pay for it...SO it may just depend on the CM taking your order. Won't hurt to ask, of course, but do be prepared for the possibility you'll hear "no".

Adult DD had some success at other places -- Cosmic Ray's let her sub grapes for french fries; some other place we ate at let her sub apple slices for fries.
