Does the Flame Tree Barbecue have any vegetarian entree other than the fruit plate? We would love to eat there on this trip but DD is a vegetarian and I think she will want more food than fruit. If there isn't a vegetarian entree, how far is the Flame Tree from Pizzafari-would it be feasible for us to get her a cheese pizza then walk to the Flame Tree for our meal?
Thanks!

That's really funny that you asked this question because I was just wondering the same thing last night... I looked up the menu and I have eaten there before I was a vegetarian and I definitely do not recall them having anything vegetarian besides the fruit plate. I think Pizzafari is a hike from there too.:confused3

This is from AllEarsNet. Looks like you can get the salad without chicken, fruit plate, and a few sides that aren't meat. slim pickins, but it is a barbeque restaurant.

The mixed green salad is REALLY good! Has a nice vinaigrette dressing

Thanks to everyone for the information.:goodvibes I was hoping Flame Tree had updated their menu with some barbecue tofu or a veggie burger and the menu had not been updated on the web. DH, and DSs all like barbecue so maybe they will eat at Flame Tree and DD and I will go elsewhere. Of course if it is as hot outside as I fear, the fruit plate or salad may be a better option than a hot meal anyway.

We just ate there today. The Fruit Plate is quite large (grapes, pineapple, honeydew, watermelon, cantelope) and honey yogurt dip. Large slices of each.

I had the onion rings - are they considered vegetarian? :rotfl2:

As mentioned above, the salad is available without the smoked chicken.

We love this place :thumbsup2

That fruit plate is one of my favorite meals! Its huge and comes with a yummy yogurt. I wish more places at WDW had that on the menu.

Many, many times, I have gotten a cheese pizza from Pizzafari and carried it over to Flametree to eat with the rest of my family because the only vegetarian meal was the fruit plate. It's not too far away to do that. It's not right next door either though, so you will have to walk a little ways.

My friend is a vegetarian. On our last trip, she got a veggie burger at Restaurantasaurus and carries it over to Flame Tree, where the rest of us were eating.

Pizzafari is within an easy walking distance to flame tree. If you are coming from Africa, slip into Pizzafari with her and the rest can continue on to flame tree. You should all meet up there with your food at the same timeish.

I wish Flame tree had more to offer, we do the Pizzafari thing as well. I need a meal, not fruit.

My vegetarian sister is happy with the bbq salad sans the chicken and a side of fries or onion rings (which are very good by the way). Add the key lime pie for dessert and you're all set;)
