Is all the seating outside? We're going in July. Thanks for any help.

Yes. There are some fans in the seating area by the water. Some people have posted that it's cool, but that was not our experience.

Yes, it is outside. One thing to think about, the birds and ducks love it, and are really brave, some will walk right up to you begging. If you are not a bird person, or are with people who are afraid of birds, this would not be a good choice. :goodvibes

Boy are the ducks brave! I had one of the little brown ducks climb onto my foot in February. Half standing on me, looking up at me and doing his best begging puppy impression. :) I didn't feed him anything (didn't wanna be a bad DISer), but I was sooooo tempted. :)

I sat on the water with an awesome view of Everest.
The seating is covered to protect from any rain or bright, hot sun, if that's a concern. There was another bbq/condiment station near us, too.
However, there were birds. Birds are one of my fears and I was a little wary when one of those gulls with the sharp beaks came nearby. There were a few filled tables and at one point when the gull flapped his wings, me and a little girl about 4 or 5 both gave a little scream. The others around laughed and I was mortified!
Food was great, but those birds are killer!

If you don't like the birds, there's a covered table area fairly close to where you get the food. They hang out closer to the water. Your only view will be the trees. There are both covered and uncovered eating areas. We chose the covered. Good thing we did. Bwooosh, a storm hit just as we sat down. All the folks from the uncovered areas were sent scurrying to the covered ones.

There is plenty of shaded areas to eat at. Well worth it for the food!!

The trick there is to keep walking as far as you can. Then you end up down by the water with lovely views, fewer people and a peaceful spot to take a break.

That's exactly what I was about to post- I've had a duck sit on my foot. We were eating and all of a sudden I feel something touching my leg.. lol

Just reading about the birds here is freaking me out already. And this is where I wanted to try on our next visit.

There is a LOT of seating at the flame tree. Don't let one family member go grab a table while another orders and brings the food. You may not find your family again! We sat last spring by the water with great view of Everest. No bird problems......But then I wondered if that was really chicken! :lmao:

This past December I had a duck peck at my leg and beg for food. I stomped my feet and it went away but then it did come right back. The food was great but I don't think I'll be going back here because of the ducks.

We haven't had a problem with birds there before. We do enjoy the seating by the water because most people don't know it is there. There has always been a breeze for us even during the hottest times of the year.

The seating is great. We ate there in March and it was such a peacful, quiet and beautiful seating area. The ducks did not seem that aggressive to me, but we did shaare a little bread with them. There were ducklings there too!

Thanks for all the replies!! We'll have to see when we get there in July. The seating down by the river is very appealing, but it will all depend on how "HOT" we all are when it's time to eat!!

Thanks again for the help!!

kim :thumbsup2
