Flame On!!!

He paid for 2 admissions, he should get 2 fastpasses if he chooses to use them in this way.
So he is not cheating anyone.
Why is that not fair?

B.

those will be very expensive fastpasses if you waste an admission to get them.

You betcha. That is why it is not cheating the system. If someone has that much money that they can basically pay twice the ticket price just so they can hold 2 fastpasses at the same time. More power to them. :scared1:

Well, if that is what he wants to do then so be it, but that was not the way the OP reads. It reads to me like he wanted to know if he could use the tickets for fp's without running them through the gate and using an admission day. That is cheating the system.

Again, you are wrong. I honestly don't think he was trying to cheat the system. He was asking an honest and I think good question about multiple tickets that he has PURCHASED.

yeah, but I can go purchase 5 tickets, bring them with me, and only use 1 to enter and have 4 unused tickets on me. There is a reason Disney doesn't let me get fastpasses with those other 4. Just purchasing the ticket doesn't entitle you to get a fastpass, it is actually using a day on the ticket that does. Otherwise, people would just stock up on unused tickets to get FP and then upgrade when they finally use the tickets. That would be a mess, and I don't know how you don't see that as cheating the system.

For the record, I know the OP was only asking about the tickets already purchased, and wasn't planning on buying more just to get extra fastpasses.

It should be possible to enter the park on one ticket. Leave and then reenter on the other ticket both tickets should be active and allow you to get multiple fastpasses. Unless the finger scan might deactivate the 1st ticket by I doubt it is that sophisticated.

I see no "issues" with this as you have paid for both tickets and are not getting anything for free.

B.

I don't read the original question that way, but I would agree with you that if you activated two separate MYW tickets, then you would be entitled to two fastpasses. I don't see why this wouldn't work if you had the cash to do it.

I agree that he asked a good legitimate question that was answered. :goodvibes

The way I understood the question was that he had two separate tickets -- one "old" one that had some non-expiration days remaining and one "new" ticket. He wanted to know if he used his "new" MYW ticket for park admission, could he then use both his "new" ticket that he had scanned at the front gate TODAY as well as his "old" ticket that he scanned at the front gate on the day of his last visit (that could have been months or even years ago) because it was already "activated" years ago for two separate fastpasses. In other words, can he get two fastpasses since he had two separate tickets that had been activated on different days?

I did not read that he had the intention to use both tickets on the same day as he wants 8 separate park days on his trip.

If I understood the OP's question correctly, getting two fastpasses should not be possible as the FP system is designed to only permit a FP on a ticket used for admission on that particular day. If there was a way around it, that would be "cheating" the system as it was designed. If it were possible, using the same logic, when he later uses his "old" ticket for park admission, he should not be entitled to any additional fastpasses on that particular day as he had previously used the "old" ticket for fastpasses on an earlier day when the ticket was not activated.

Tahiti is a great longhouse. It is the one we wanted when we stayed there, but they were using it as the concierge longhouse because they were rehabbing Hawaii. We asked for Tokelau..and loved it. That longhouse was pretty central...quiet pool right outside the door, Neverland Club and the laundry just a short walk away. Ceremonial House about a 3 mn walk, as well as the Volcano pool. And the walk to the TTC was about 8 mins...really nice. I would ask for a room with a balcony....I think I remember Tahiti having balconies on both the second and third floors...I just liked being up a bit higher. It was so nice to just walk down to the beach and watch the fireworks and Electric Water Parade each night. You're going to love it there.

Tahiti is our favorite longhouse. We love being close to the TTC and it is usually quiet and it does have balconies on all floors.

Yeah, the OP asked:

Or are we just limited to the passes that have gone through the entrance scan that day.....

so I know what booya was saying now, but I don't think that is quite what the OP was asking. I wonder though, if you use one ticket to get in, and then leave and use the other ticket to get back in, wouldn't the first ticket be inactive again (having you signed out of the park)? I don't know where I heard/read this, but I thought that the system had to have your ticket active in that park to get a FP.

You don't scan your ticket when you leave so it will still think you are in the park.

And for the PP asking about the second finger scan deactivating your first entry because it sees you enter the park again is wrong.

The finger scan doesn't work that way it not scanning your finger in a way that can identify you.

The only thing stopping you is your own realization that its a very expensive way to get extra FPs.

Oh and yes there is probably some odd combination of tickets and Non expiring and the phases of the moon where using two tickets in a day will work without costing a ton of money, but that's not for me to figure out.:)

Oh and yes as others have posted unless there is some glitch in the FP that day you have to use a ticket that was used for entry into that park to get a FP.

No problem except for the COST involved in wasting a perfectly good ticket.

Wouldn't it be funny if you used up an extra, expensive ticket to get extra fastpasses only to find the park practically empty with walk on's all over. :rotfl:

Why in heaven's name would you use a park day on a pass just to get more FPs??? That's ridiculous. Sure, you could do it..here's the scenario..
You have...
10 day park hopper
5 day hopper with 2 days left on it
6 day hopper with 3 days left on it...
So you use one hopper to get in the first time..now it's down to 9 days,
you use the 5 day to re-enter, now it's down to 1 day left, and you leave, yet again, and return, using the 6 day, leaving it with 2 days on it..you have now used up 3 days worth of park entry just to get more FPs. Doesn't make much sense to me. Not to mention the time involved in doing that.

Well, if that is what he wants to do then so be it, but that was not the way the OP reads. It reads to me like he wanted to know if he could use the tickets for fp's without running them through the gate and using an admission day. That is cheating the system.
Not to worry...you can't do that. Only a pass that has been used that day, in that park, can be used for a FP. All loopholes were closed.

Thank you Goofy4tink(Dian) and Re121258 (Marie) for the Longhouse information! I appreciate it.

Hi OP, I noticed that you have stayed at the Poly quite a bit. My son and I are staying there for the first time next month. I requested Tahiti because it's close to the TTC, which is what we want. Have you ever stayed at Tahiti during your stays and if so, if you had Garden view would you request 1st floor or 3rd? We have Garden View. I know these are only "requests", but would still like to know. I definetly would like a patio or balcony, don't care which. Do all the floors in Tahiti have a balcony and/or patio?

Thanks for your help!!

Hi there-I work in Quincy and I'll be at AKL 5/2 to 5/3-small world!

I was just at Poly in January and requested 3rd floor Tokelau quiet pool side and I thought it was a perfect location! Close to Grand Ceremonial House and close enough to TTC. We even had a view of the castle from our garden view room!

Wow! It is a small world. I work and live in Quincy. Work at BFDS for 16 yrs now. Tokelau is on my list of longhouses that are ok to stay in. Your view was pretty nice! In all my trips to WDW we have never gotten a decent view of anything. Just unlucky I guess. We've gotten roofs, maintenance boxes, big ole trees and balconies you can't even stand on. lolol Hey, at least we're in Disney! But, just once I'd like a decent location. I can always hope. pixiedust:

:laughing:I used to work for State Street when I first got out of college (a long 26 years ago). I was only there for 11 months.

I was so excited with our room at the Poly. I did fax the room assignor and got exactly what I asked for.:thumbsup2 My DD picked the resort-I take my kids for one on one trips and we usually stay at Pop for those trips but with the buy 4 get 3 deal we upgraded. We had never been to Poly without it being concierge so I was a bit worried about room location. Our room was perfect! Tokelau is one of the newer longhouses so it has balconies on all 3 floors too. We had a very magical trip but it was cold and we had lots of rain. One morning when it was in the 30's my DD said "Mommy, it feels like Boston!". I'm so excited to be going back in May. My DS picked AKL-we've never been there.
